Jennifer (34) is due to give birth in March, but said she and husband Lau Zamparelli have decided to wait until the big day to discover which it will be.

"We were very close to finding out but we changed our minds," Dubliner Jennifer said.

"I can't keep a secret, so I wouldn't be able to not tell people and then when the baby was born there wouldn't be a surprise.

"I'm really excited - I've wanted kids for years. We're just delighted."

Jennifer married Zamparelli during the summer, and it was while they were on honeymoon that she found out she was pregnant.

She told the RTE Guide that the wedding now "seems like so long ago".

"The baby has taken over 70pc of my brain - it's the first thing I think of in the morning and the last thing at night," she said.

The former UK Apprentice star has suffered from very bad morning sickness in recent months, but says she's "doing great now".

"It was misery - it was like having a really bad hangover but with no end date," she said.

"At least with a hangover you can eat your way through it.

"Three months of it - it was horrific."

The 2fm Breakfast Republic presenter previously revealed how she plans to keep working right up to the birth of her baby.

"I'm going to keep working until I pop - I may just take the afternoon off to give birth," she joked.

"Bernard O'Shea will just have a couple of hot towels ready to go in case."

Meanwhile, Jennifer has ruled out taking a lengthy maternity leave, but said she will take some time off.

"It really all depends on how I am," she said.

Meanwhile, Christmas has already started in her home.

"Lau actually made us put up our Christmas tree last week he was so excited - he's one of those people."
