The Spring/Summer 2015 season is here: menswear, menswear and menswear! During this time of the year, Paris Fashion Week is filled with finely tailored suits, leather jackets and masculinity!

Just when you thought you have seen it all from Henrik Vibskov, he prepares something totally atypical. Instead having his usual fashion installations, now the audience had the honour of witnessing a live performance by the Norwegian National Opera and Ballet. And, as we got used to Henrik Vibskov’s style, he goes big, so the dancers were spilled and splashed the water in a shallow pool.

HENRIK-VIBSKOV

The collection for SS 2015 season is entitled “The Sticky Brick Fingers”. Nothing new there, it is Henrik Vibskov signature that he combines two things can are typically not to be combined. BUT, what makes him unique is the fact that HE makes it work, and not in a very simple way, but in a very fashion-forward and stylish way. The inspirations for next years sunny season are rotating cement mixers, construction sites, bricks, swimming pools and water sports. Brick motifs, 3D structures and cut-out forms shape the collection. The silhouettes are round and curvy, while the spherical pieces are styled together with tight-fitted neoprene shoes and monk-like head pieces. The enlarged upper body garments are mixed together with short and low-crotched comfy bottoms.

Another things worth mentioning is the fact that for the second season now, Henrik Vibskov is working in collaboration with a non-profit organisation, who work with traditional techniques to produce the khadi cotton. The material is processed without the usage of electricity and dyed using vegetable dyes.

Much too impressed by this talented Nordic designer, we are impatiently awaiting to see the rest of the SS 2015 collection during Copenhagen Fashion Week.
